I never read reviews before seeing a movie, since I want to watch with fresh eyes, but I'll often check a movie's score on Rotten Tomatoes if I'm not sure whether I want to see it. So thank goodness for RT, which convinced me to give Get Him to the Greek a chance.
If I'd judged by its trailer alone, I probably would have skipped it, writing it off as a less clever ripoff of My Favorite Year. But it turns out to be more a homage than a ripoff, with plenty of comic charisma of its own. Here's my TimeOFF review.
